What hearing aids does Neurosensory fit?

Neurosensory fits the broadest range of hearing aids available, so we can cater to your individual needs. Your choice of the many styles of hearing aid depends on the condition of your ear, the type of hearing loss and what style suits your personal needs. We will recommend the best hearing aids to meet your individual hearing needs.

Invisible hearing aids

Invisible hearing aids

  • Invisible hearing aids, such as the Lyric, are positioned comfortably and completely in the ear canal so they can’t be seen from any angle, at any time.
  • The aids can be worn 24/7 for months at a time; there are no batteries to change, no maintenance needed and no daily insertion or removal is required.
  • The aids can be used in cases of mild to moderately severe hearing loss.

Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC) hearing aids

Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC) hearing aids

  • A CIC hearing aid is the smallest hearing aid and is almost invisible in the ear.
  • These custom-made aids are suitable only for people with ear canals large enough to accommodate the whole aid.
  • The aids can be used in cases of mild to moderately severe hearing loss.

In-the-Canal hearing aids

In-the-Canal hearing aids

  • An ITC hearing aid is slightly larger than the Completely-in-the-Canal type.
  • The aids can be used in cases of mild to moderately severe hearing loss.

In-the-Ear (ITE) hearing aids

In-the-Ear (ITE) hearing aids

  • ITE hearing aids are larger, offer many features, and are often easier to handle than CICs and ITCs.
  • Available in a half or full shell, they are appropriate for mild to severe hearing loss.

Behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids

Behind-the-ear

  • A BTE hearing aid has the electronics housed in a case that is fitted behind the ear.
  • The sound is passed via a narrow tube to a custom ear mould, or in more recent developments, an open mould and receiver-in-the-ear, which allow for more comfort and better sound.
  • These hearing aids are suitable for treatment of a wide range of hearing losses, including severe hearing loss.
  • Available in a half or full shell, they are appropriate for mild to severe hearing loss.

What is the Neurosensory hearing aid process?

At Neurosensory, our hearing aid process is ethical and professional, so hearing aids are recommended only on genuine clinical need. Our caring staff are not paid commissions and work hard to ensure you receive the right hearing aids.

Our hearing aids process is comprised of:

Comprehensive Assessment

Once you have completed a comprehensive Neurosensory hearing test, our clinicians will assess the best solution to meet your individual needs. If the results indicate that a hearing aid would be the correct hearing solution for you, then our clinicians will discuss a range of devices which best suit your individual hearing challenges, lifestyle and budget. We also offer free trials, as we want you to feel totally supported and confident in your decision.

PAYMENT PLANS

Neurosensory now offer a direct debit payment plan for hearing aids purchased in our clinics. We require a 50% deposit and the balance is spread in equal fortnightly or monthly payments over a one or two year period from the date of fitting. The choice is yours.

Fitting by hearing aid experts

At the first fitting appointment, your Neurosensory hearing health care professional will tune your hearing aids precisely to suit the dynamics of your individual ear canal shape and to meet your unique hearing challenges. You will also be informed about how to get the most from your hearing aids.

Excellent follow-up service

We recommend you attend the first follow up fitting appointment, which is approximately two weeks after your fitting, to ensure the hearing aids are working optimally for you. Any necessary adjustments can be made at this point to maximise your hearing comfort.

At Neurosensory, we offer as many follow up fitting appointments in the first year as required. We want to make sure you are able to achieve your best hearing potential through the fine tuning of your new hearing aids.

Ongoing care

Your hearing can change over time, and if that occurs, your hearing aids may also need to be adjusted to maintain optimal hearing outcomes. It is therefore a good idea to come in and have your hearing and your hearing aids checked annually. Our provision of Medicare rebates ensures your expenses are kept to a minimum.
